I am delighted to introduce myself as the owner/operator of The Schoolhouse. It is with great enthusiasm and dedication that I embark on this journey to continue my love for early childhood education in my very own way.

My name is Coleen Barber. My husband, Zach and I reside in New Albany with our 4 children. I bring just over 25 years of experience in the education. I began my career in college as a floater where I fell in love with the field. After graduating from The Ohio State University I worked my way up as an assistant teacher, a lead teacher, an assistant director and eventually began directing a local preschool back in 2007.

I understand that entrusting your child to a daycare is a significant decision, and I am committed to ensuring that The Schoolhouse is a place where families feel confident and secure. My primary goal is to maintain the high standards of care and education that I have established in New Albany all while also implementing new ideas and initiatives to enhance the overall experience for both children and parents.
